For a few weeks each year, there's a hub of activity in the birch trees off the Ingraham Trail west of Yellowknife. Read on to hear the fascinating story started by a couple of bush men who live to hang out in the wilderness.

What is heck is birch syrup?
Well, we get that a lot. Canada is renowned for its maple syrup, but few people know that birch trees create a syrup that is delicious too. Check out our Birch Syrup page for all the goods on our four types of syrup, what it tastes like and we'll even tell you what makes it so special (and sooo hard to make).
Where to Buy SyrupNeed a birch fix? Need to marinate a moose roast, or trying out our birch candy recipe? Our syrup is only found locally in Yellowknife, NWT. For shipments outside our glorious capital, email [email protected].
